about us

Communication, promotion and culture
in the natural stone industry

Giorgio Zusi Editore is a publishing house with a focus on cultural and promotional initiatives in the natural stone industry. Many years have gone by since January 1962 - when Giorgio Zusi founded "L'Informatore del Marmista" magazine. It was the first and, at the time, the only monthly stone industry magazine in Italy and - thanks not the least to comprehensive translations in English - was mailed to readers in as many as 53 countries worldwide and rapidly became a vital landmark for operators in the field. Today, major changes in the natural stone sector have seen the appearance of many other magazines. Yet our readers are still very well aware of the pioneering role played by "L'Informatore del Marmista" and the heritage of experience that this status involves. Every month, for 53 years, our magazine has presented and discussed news and questions focusing on a very varied "slice of life": technical developments in quarries and material processing, trade statistics, events and exhibitions, geological research and synthetic products, the restoration of monuments and innovations in architectural and sculptural fields. One of our priority objectives has always focused on promoting the culture and use of "natural stone" in modern buildings, with particular attention to the needs of designers. In 1983, Giorgio Zusi Editore also launched "Marmor" - a quarterly magazine with a focus on culture and promotion of marble, granite and decorative stone materials in general that targets a huge and varied audience including students, architects, entrepreneurs and - especially - readers seeking up-to-date information about stone applications in architectural spheres, restoration projects and the "culture of marble" in general. Giorgio Zusi Editore also publishes technical books and geological charts. Such publications - and many other initiatives - are all distinguished by impressive technical, scientific and cultural quality. Unanimous acclaim comes from the university and research worlds and the reference sector as a whole.
